Yes, you are seeing correctly! it is snow on the ground in Alabama! How crazy is that? We thought we were coming here to get away from the snow, but apparently it followed us. It is the first time they've had snow on the ground since 1973 so I do feel pretty special it happened while we were here. It was also nice because it felt like home. The snow was super wet so it made for great packing snow. My cute neighbor boys had a snowball fight with their dad and snowmen popped up all over town. I walked Bama Lu out in it and she loved it. The funny thing that happened was as i walked, the snow packed under my shoes so I had a platform of snow built up. Way weird, but it was a lot of fun.

Not so fun for Bridger and the other guys. That happened to be the week they were out in the field, sleeping in tents. Since Alabama doesn't get a lot of snow the whole town and post shut down. So that meant no buses were running to go pick the guys up. They had to stay out in the cold. Lucky them.
